The power of kettle is given as,

[tex]P=\frac{V^2}{R}[/tex]

Plug in the known values,

[tex]\begin{gathered} 1000\text{ W=}\frac{(220V)^2}{R} \\ R=\frac{(220V)^2}{1000\text{ W}}(\frac{1\text{ ohm}}{1V^2W^{-1}})_{} \\ =48.4\text{ ohm} \end{gathered}[/tex]

Thus, the resistance of the kettle is 48.4 ohm.
