f(x) = 2x² + 6x – 5

To find f(2) you have to replace x = 2 into the function, as follows:

f(2) = 2(2)² + 6(2) – 5

f(2) = 2(4) + 12 – 5 Solving the square and the multiplication

f(2) = 8 + 12 – 5 Solving the multiplication

f(2) = 15
